After a long absence this pride finally showed face again this month. Our first sighting of them was on Trollips access on Charleston, during which we saw the pride take down an adult female wildebeest. With 16 hungry mouths to feed, the carcass didn’t last long. The second time they were seen was in the early hours of the morning, when standby rangers were doing a night patrol. The entire pride was sprawled together on Charleston River rocks, still digesting the wildebeest that they had killed a few days earlier.
