There was only one sighting of this pride in the month, which took place at the beginning of the reporting period. They were seen chasing the Charleston pride off a kudu kill they had made the day earlier. They made short work of what was left of the kill before moving westwards again off our property. All fifteen members of the pride were present and the cubs appear to be in good condition, which bodes well for the future of the pride.

A very poor month for the Selati pride, usually one of the most visible prides on the property they seemed to move off west for the most part of the month. One sighting they were found with the Golf Course males asleep on the golf course. The second sighting proved to be one of the best seen this year. The pride had a run in with the Charleston pride; during the battle the last remaining cub of the Charleston pride was killed. The pride surprised the Charleston pride and with their superior number was able to kill the cub. Other than this fantastic yet grim sighting the swollen river prevented rangers from tracking this pride as they have now become more mobile with the cubs getting older often moving great distances.

With the river coming down in flood, crossing at KK crossing has become impossible, these both the Selati and Charleston pride were seen less this month than previously. Regardless, this pride were seen catching many impala over their 4 sightings and remained dominant in the south western region of Toulon.
