Manyelethi male – 12 April 2008

The Manyelethi male was found during the morning game drive after rangers followed up on audio of a leopard roaring. He was located on the loop in the new firebreak, moving north along the road scent marking and roaring as he went. It could possibly be that another male leopard had moved through the area and he was just assuring his control over the area. The leopard was followed for most of the morning and was left when he came to rest in the shade of some trees just off valley road.
