Federal Air run a twice daily shuttle service between O R Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg) and MalaMala Game Reserve, utilizing twin engined, pressurized turbo-prop aircraft.
The schedule is:

Daily, O R Tambo (JNB) / MalaMala, 12h40 / 13h55

Valid to 31 May 2010 and from 01 August - 31 December 2010
Adult rate – age 13 and above :R 2 350.00 per person one way including airport taxes, passenger taxes and VAT
Child rate - aged 12 and under : R 1 855.00 per person one way including airport taxes, passengers taxes and VAT
Valid 01 June - 31 July 2010 (FIFA World Cup 2010)

Check-in for Federal Air flights is at the Federal Air kiosk, located in the multi story parkade adjacent to the car rental.

- Reservations for Federal Air must be made through MalaMala reservations office and will be invoiced accordingly on the confirmation of reservation with the accommodation booked.
- 100% cancellation fees apply to all reservations cancelled within 72 hours prior to travel.
- Flight reservations close 72 hours in advance.
- The seat rates quoted above also includes a complimentary meet and greet service at O R Tambo International Airport and the use of the Federal Air First Class lounge facilities.
- Please note that Federal Air routing may not always be direct and the aircraft will land at 1 or possibly 2 other airfields en route to or from MalaMala Game Reserve to drop off or collect other passengers travelling within this region.
- In the event there are less than 5 passengers in total for MalaMala Game Reserve (either arriving or departing) confirmed on the flights on a particular day, Federal Air reserves the right to disembark and collect passengers from Skukuza Airport. MalaMala will provide complimentary road transfer to and from Skukuza Airport – a drive of approximately 45 minutes through the reserve.
- Guests not able to connect with their Federal Air flight from O R Tambo International Airport for whatever reason will be booked on the next available flight (possibly the following day). Cancellation fees may apply. Travel insurance is advisable.
- Luggage allowance is restricted to 20kg’s per person. A complimentary luggage storage facility is available with Federal Air.
- Delays due to weather and air traffic control are beyond the control of Federal Air.
- Please ensure a connection time of 2 hours for domestic flight transfers and 3 hours for international flight transfers.
- Federal Air is a point to point service and at no time guarantees any onward connections.
- On arrival at the MalaMala Airfield, guests will be met by representatives from the camp and transferred by road through the reserve.
MalaMala airfield to Main Camp and Sable Camp: 5 minutes
MalaMala airfield to Rattray's on MalaMala: 10 minutes
From/ To Kruger Mpumalanga Int’l Airport (MQP)
SA Airlink/SA Express
Daily scheduled flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town operate into Kruger Mpumalanga Airport (MQP). These are operated by Airlink and SA Express. This airport is situated close to the town of Nelspruit and transfers to MalaMala can be provided by either a small light aircraft (30 minute air transfer) or a road transfer (2 hour transfer).
The rates for the above flights differ between the airlines and the travelling time. Please contact your travel agent for the details. Flights can be booked on line at www.flysaa.com.
Adult rate – age 12 and above : R 2 008.00 per person one way incl airport taxes and a 2 hour road transfer between KMIA and MalaMala
Adult rate – age 12 and above : R 2 758.00 per person one way incl airport taxes and a 25 minute small light aircraft flight between KMIA and MalaMala

2010: ZAR 1550.00 nett per person (minimum 2 people)
