Airlink operates a daily scheduled flight service from O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) directly into the MalaMala airfield (AAM) in the MalaMala Game Reserve (a 29-seater Jetstream 41 turboprop aircraft).
- Daily, SA 8863, JNB / AAM, 11h10 / 12h10
- Daily, SA 8864, AAM / JNB, 12h30 / 13h35
- On arrival at the MalaMala Airfield, guests will be met by representatives from the camp and transferred by road through the reserve.
MalaMala airfield to Main Camp and Sable Camp: 5 minutes
MalaMala airfield to Rattray's on MalaMala: 10 minutes

* Due to the fluctuating fuel levies and airport taxes, no confirmed rates can be advised with respect to the total cost for the Airlink flights. However these are updated on a weekly basis on our website.
- Please note the maximum luggage allowance is 20kg's per person
- The service may be booked through any airline reservations system operated by travel agents. The MalaMala service cannot be booked on line through the South African Airways website.

Please note that these flights are only available to guests staying at MalaMala Main Camp, Sable Camp, Rattray’s on MalaMala, Kirkman’s Kamp, Lion Sands Camps and Nottens. Any passengers utilising the flight but not accommodated at one of the above camps will have to remain on board and return to Johannesburg on the return flight.
Alternative Flights:
Daily scheduled flights from Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg operate into Kruger Mpumalanga Airport (MQP). These are operated by Airlink and SA Express. This airport is situated close to the town of Nelspruit and transfers to MalaMala can be provided by either a small light aircraft (30 minute air transfer) or a road transfer (2 hour transfer).
The rates for the above flights differ between the airlines and the travelling time. Please contact your travel agent for the details. Flights can be booked on line at www.flysaa.com.
